Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was an Indian television and film star who is popularly known for his role as “Manav Deshmukh” in one of the most popular shows Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV during 2009-2011. He also did tremendous work in the sports biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story in 2016 for which he received his first nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Actor.
Rajput was born in 1986 at Patna. On 14th June 2020, at the age of 34, Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai Bandra apartment, initial police observation said that the actor committed suicide by hanging himself.
Apart from acting, Sushant was actively engaged in different philanthropic programs such as Sushant4Education and NITI Aayog’s Women Entrepreneurship Platform.

Sushant Singh Rajput was born on 21 January 1986 in Patna, Bihar to Krishna Kumar Singh (Govt. Official) and Usha Singh (Homemaker). Sushant was the youngest child in the Rajput family among four more sisters. He did early schooling at St. Karen’s High School in Patna and Kulachi Hansraj Model School in New Delhi.

The tragic death of Sushant’s mother in 2002 left him broken down. Although, Sushant was a brilliant student and successfully cleared different entrance exams for engineering colleges of repute in India. He ranked 7th in all India DCE Entrance Exam in 2003 and secured admission in the Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) in Delhi College of Engineering.
Destiny had something else saved for Rajput as he dropped out from his engineering course in the third year and joined Shiamak Davar’s dance classes and later Barry John’s drama school. Sushant was also chosen to perform at 51st Filmfare Awards in 2005. In the following year, he moved to Mumbai and joined Nadira Babbar’s theatre group Ekjute.

Sushant was in an active relationship with his Pavitra Rishta co-star Ankita Lokhande. Ankita and Sushant broke up in 2016 after being together for almost six years. After that, there have been reports that Sushant was in a close relationship with Kriti Sanon (Raabta co-star) and Rhea Chakraborty.

On 14 June 2020, at the age of 34, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai Bandra apartment. Initial police investigations has reported the cause of death as suicide by hanging. It was also reported that he was suffering from depression and was undergoing medical treatment for the same from the last six months.
This untimely death of Sushant sent a shock to the entire film industry, fans, family and relatives as no one could believe that a successful person like him would ever take such a step.
The sudden and shocking passing away of Actor Sushant Singh Rajput has reignited the debate on nepotism and many stars, ardent fans have come forward to raise the issue on social media.

Life of Sushant Singh Rajput beyond Bollywood
Apart from his film career, Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was very much active in lots of social activities related to education for underprivileged children. He was an active promoter of women entrepreneurship and BHIM App under the flagship program of Niti Ayog.
Sushant was very fond of talking about technology, artificial intelligence, astronomy, stars and those who follow Sushant on Instagram and Twitter would be familiar with this.
The actor was also associated with NASA for a special program for Government School kids where he would send a few kids to NASA for a 20 days workshop.

- Sushant was a brilliant student and had cleared 11 different engineering exams of reputed colleges of India and he also won National Olympiad in Physics.
- The actor developed an interest in dancing after watching Shiamak Davar’s dance show. In starting his family did not support this and despite the same Sushant worked hard and got a chance of performing in Commonwealth Games 2006 and Filmfare Awards.
