Preeksha Movie Review & Ratings

Prakash Jha’s new film Pareeksha is the reality of society. A film that will touch your heart directly and some tears will be stuck on your eyes and the voice will also be sore in the throat when you try to speak in between. Pareeksha movie also tests audiences on many levels. The unequal education system of children all over the country definitely hurts them at some time, it is more important to speak English than to have a degree in the country.

The actor who appears to be pulling a rickshaw is Adil Hussain. This person has done a lot of films before leaving Assam and reaching Delhi’s NSD and London’s Drama Studio. No matter how good you ride a bicycle, scooter, car or airplane, but it is amazing to hold a rickshaw handle even a hundred meters away. Adil has pulled a rickshaw here by seating seven-eight children. This is his effort to get into a character and make it alive in the film. Whether Buchi is in lockup, in school, with wife or with child, Buchi seems to be the same.

At next year’s awards, Adil Hussain would prove to be a strong contender for Best Actor if the National Film Awards jury included the films released on OTT Platforms.

Pareeksha movie has succeeded incredibly in hitting the chord and a must watch movie.

Preeksha Movie Characters

First things first. Adil Hussain has done the required justice to perform the challenging role of the rickshaw puller who lives in slum (basti) and has big dreams not for himself but for his son Bulbul.

Shubham Jha has been amazing in the character of precocious Bulbul who played the role of an underprivileged boy. Inspired by Abhayanand (former DGP in Bihar police), this character has been done by Sanjay Suri in the film. Sanjay Suri is becoming more and more young as an actor as he is getting older. The tone of his speech, the sharpness on his face seems absolutely real. The acting of Priyanka Bose, who plays Radhika in the film has well supported Adil Hussain. Priyanka has touched right chords in the role of a pottery buffing working wife.

Prakash Jha Direction in Pareeksha Movie

Prakash Jha has two forms in Hindi cinema. One whose mind is keen to work with stars like Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ajay Devgan and the other one who craves for straight-forward and heart-touching stories.

He makes Mrityudand with dhak-dhak girl Madhuri Dixit or Gangajal with Ajay Devgan, who stands on two motorcycles together. On one side Prakash Jha has made hard hitting films like Mrityudand (1997), Gangajal (2003), Apaharan (2005), Rajneeti (2010), Arakshan (2011), Chakravyuh (2012), Satyagraha (2013) and Gangajal (2016) and on another side Prakash Jha’s attitude has changed completely in his latest movie Pareeksha. He does not even get angry with anyone here rather, he simplifies confronting situations.

He argues that if the society’s progressed & affluent class will not extend a helping hand to the people who are left behind, and will not give their able children a place among themselves, then how will those people move forward.

According to Prakash Jha, the examination is motivated by a true event or events. From this we can only hope that when there is darkness everywhere, a lamp keeps burning somewhere.
